Cheslie is a member of our litigation team and concentrates her practice in complex civil litigation. She represents clients in a wide range of challenges including antitrust matters, government-related disputes, constitutional litigation, professional malpractice claims, construction disputes, and trade secrets litigation.

Representative Experience

Cheslie worked part-time with Callison Tighe law firm while receiving her undergraduate degree from the Honors College at the University of South Carolina. She participated in the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity 1L Scholars program while she worked with Poyner Spruill during her first summer in the Raleigh office.

Following her first year in law school, Cheslie worked in the Legislative Affairs Division for the North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources (now DEQ) as a legal intern. She conducted research on the environmental effects of hydraulic fracturing throughout the United States.

Cheslie's business knowledge and environmental research were helpful while working with General Motors Company (GM) and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) on electrified vehicles. She helped the Chevrolet Volt Marketing team to assess the impact of zero emission vehicle regulations on company strategies and vehicle development while interning at GM. Additionally, she aided FCA in developing long term plans for electrification in new markets while interning on the Asia Pacific Portfolio Planning Division.
