Profile
Marty, a former public accountant with Peat Marwick in
Chicago, relies on his vast accounting and financial background to provide
counsel to clients from initial structuring through ultimate repayment for
all types of single-lender and multi-lender syndicated transactions,
including working capital financing and refinancing, asset-based loans,
acquisition financing, real estate and construction loans, equipment
leasing, letters of credit, consumer credit and structured finance
transactions. His clients include local banks, out-of-state lenders, large
multinational financial institutions, middle market corporations and public
companies.
Representative Experience
Lead counsel for agent bank in several multi-bank,
syndicated transactions ranging in size from $75 million to $280 million.
Lead borrower’s counsel representing corporate clients
in merger and acquisition financings with transaction sizes ranging from $50
to $175 million.
Sole counsel representing international client in
negotiating derivative contracts for interest rate swap transactions with an
aggregate notional amount in excess of $750 million. The interest rate swap
was consummated in connection with a global $1.1 billion financing as part
