Profile
During his years of practice, George has
represented all parties to the various project delivery systems in both the
private and public sectors. He has handled disputes ranging up to
multimillions of dollars, appearing for his clients in mediation,
arbitration and litigation in state and federal courts.
George has been a certified arbitrator on the
American Arbitrator Association National Panel of Arbitrators since 1968.
He has served as sole arbitrator and on tripartite panels of arbitrators in
both commercial and construction matters.
In construction, George has negotiated and
drafted contracts and joint venture agreements. He has represented various
parties in disputes involving change orders, scheduling, mechanics liens,
terminations, and bid, payment and performance bonds.
George has also litigated in other areas of
law including desegregation, family law, real estate, premises liability,
developer-house owner associations, caveat actions, elective share claims,
and North Carolina school law. He served as the attorney for the Wayne
County Board of Education for 20 years.
