Profile
Tia’s
practice is focused on real estate transactions. She regularly represents
national developers in matters related to real estate finance, acquisitions,
deal structuring, and commercial leasing. Her clients seek counsel in the
acquisition, development and disposition of improved and unimproved real
estate, including mixed-use developments, retail centers and residential
communities. Tia also represents borrowers and lenders
in secured lending transactions for all types of commercial and residential
projects, and represents landlords and tenants in the leasing of commercial
and residential space, and the financing of ground leases.
Representative Experience

Served as lead counsel to institutional lenders in connection with the
origination of fifteen (15) CMBS loans ranging from $2 million to $20
million.

Member of a designated team charged with the review and evaluation of
due diligence materials in connection with the securitizations of
conduit loan pools.

Extensive experience with the preparation and review of all forms of
real estate closing documents including deeds, security instruments,
legal descriptions, estoppel certificates, subordination agreements and
other ancillary closing documents.

Prepared corporate organizational documents including operating
agreements and by-laws for corporate entities involved in real estate
transactions.

Served as counsel to several condominium projects and planned
communities and prepared all relevant formation, restrictive covenants
and homeowners’ association documents.
