CHARLOTTE, NC -- Poyner Spruill staff and attorneys participated in the 2011 Charlotte Area Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure on Saturday, October 1st. The Charlotte office raised close to $2,000, and nearly half of the employees contributed to the campaign.
Poyner Spruill’s team consisted of staff, attorneys, friends and family members who participated to raise money and walked in support of breast cancer research. Kelsey Mayo, an Associate in the Charlotte office, led the team effort this year. “Many in our office have been touched by breast cancer, and the Race for the Cure is one way that we can make a difference. After successfully raising nearly 50% more than last year, the team is energized and looking forward to celebrating survivorship and increasing breast cancer awareness on Saturday.”
