David W. Long Receives Professionalism Award
Raleigh, NC – David W. Long
was recognized November 6th by the Wake County Bar Association as the recipient of the Justice Joseph Branch Professionalism Award. This award is presented annually to the practicing attorney in Wake County who best exhibits the qualities of professionalism. The award was presented by Cecil Harrison of Poyner Spruill and Wade Smith of Tharrington Smith.
Long has served as president of the Tenth Judicial District Bar and is a decorated trial lawyer in Raleigh. His many professional accomplishments include many years as Chair of the Wake County Bar Professionalism Committee, service to the Board of Directors of the Wake County Bar Association; chair of the Tenth Judicial District Bar’s Professionalism Support Initiative; member and chair of the Federal Bar Advisory Council; Chair of the Advisory Group for the Eastern District for North Carolina under the Civil Justice Reform Act; member of the Criminal Justice Partnership State Advisory Board; and three terms as a North Carolina State Bar Councilor. He is a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers and the International Society of Barristers and has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America, the Legal Elite and Super Lawyers.
