RALEIGH, NC – Suzanne R. Griffin, a Partner at Poyner Spruill LLP, was recognized today with a Women in Business Award by the Triangle Business Journal. The award honors the area’s most dynamic professional women who have achieved success in business and lead an active role in the community.

Griffin has a significant history with Poyner Spruill that began in 2002 when she joined the firm as Partner. She departed in 2006 to become Deputy General Counsel for RBC Bank (USA), and after nearly three years, Griffin rejoined Poyner Spruill in 2009 as Partner in the Financial Services and Real Estate Groups. She now serves as the firm’s Co-Chair of the Financial Services Section.

In her two decades of practice, Griffin has established an enviable legal career that spans the country and a wide range of industries, including agriculture, banking and commercial real estate. She is a member of the Bar in three states, and her varied experience offers a unique perspective and high level of confidence to firm clients.

Griffin's practice at Poyner Spruill focuses on the representation of clients in financial services, general corporate, real estate and transactional matters. She has significant experience with mergers and acquisitions, commercial leases, and federal and state regulatory law in the context of both financial services and agricultural industries.
