Poyner Spruill LLP announced today that three Partners have been recognized as “2009 Triangle Movers & Shakers” by
Business Leader magazine. Lisa Sumner, David Fricke and Suzanne Griffin were honored for their business accomplishments, proven leadership ability and active community participation.
David Fricke is a Partner in the firm’s Commercial Real Estate Finance and Development practice area where he focuses on retail developments, leveraged leasing, medical office buildings, public-private partnerships and tax-exempt public finance projects for municipalities. David joined Poyner Spruill in April 2009, and has quickly established himself as a mentor and role model for associate attorneys. His many public service roles include serving as a Teen Court Judge and Mentor as part of the “Wake County Teen Offender Alternative Sentencing Program.”
Suzanne Griffin recently rejoined Poyner Spruill focusing on the Financial Services and Real Estate practice areas. Her return has brought a substantial breadth of knowledge and varied experience in general corporate and transactional matters to the firm, with specialized experience in the industries of banking and agriculture. She is a member of several professional and community organizations, including Triangle Commercial Real Estate Women and the Junior League of Raleigh.

Lisa’s reputation and involvement in national organizations like the American Bar Association's Section of Business Law has kept Poyner Spruill highly regarded in the bankruptcy and creditor's rights arenas. Lisa also serves on several boards, including the Board of the Carolinas Network of the International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation.
