Poyner Spruill Attorney Josh Durham Chosen as One of "40 Under 40"

CHARLOTTE, NC – Poyner Spruill LLP is pleased to announce that Charlotte litigator Joshua B. Durham has received The Charlotte Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 award. The list of winners for 2010 was published in the March 26th issue of The Charlotte Business Journal. Durham stands out for both the leadership role he plays within Poyner Spruill and for his involvement in the community.

My fellow recipients and those who have been recognized in the past are all persons worthy of great admiration, and I am privileged to be among such outstanding individuals,” said Durham.

Durham’s law practice is devoted entirely to litigation and trial work in the areas of real estate, business, and professional malpractice. He received his B.A. from North Carolina State University, and his J.D. summa cum laude from Campbell University. He is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, and a frequent speaker at seminars involving Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Small Claims Court in North Carolina, Remedies for Bad Checks, and North Carolina Construction Lien Law. He is also a frequent author on matters pertaining to residential real estate brokerage. Additionally, Durham plays an active role within the firm, serving as Co-Leader of Poyner Spruill’s firm-wide Litigation Group.

In his free time, Durham is an active member of Trinity Presbyterian Church. He is currently serving on the Education Committee, which helps set the Sunday School curriculum and other educational programs for the church’s youth and adults. He and his wife, Lynette, are parents to three children.
