Raleigh, NC - Poyner Spruill LLP attorney Lisa Sumner
has been honored by the American Bar Association’s Business Bankruptcy Committee with the Kathryn R. Heidt Memorial Award. This Award serves as a lasting tribute to the late Kate Heidt, who was the first female Chairperson of the Business Bankruptcy Committee, and recognizes the importance of bankruptcy education and mentoring within the ABA Business Bankruptcy Committee and the bankruptcy profession.
The annual Kathryn R. Heidt Memorial Award was presented during the ABA Business Bankruptcy Committee luncheon at the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges, held October 25, 2012 in San Diego, CA.
“I am honored to receive this special recognition from a group of the most qualified and well-respected bankruptcy professionals in the country. Like Kate, they continually inspire me to serve the Bar through scholarship, leadership and encouragement of younger professionals,” said Sumner.
