RALEIGH,  NC  -- Poyner Spruill LLP is pleased to announce Christopher P. Brewer has become a partner in the firm's Raleigh office.

Brewer joined Poyner Spruill from the North Carolina Attorney General's Office where he served as Director of North Carolina's Medicaid Fraud Control Unit and Special Assistant US Attorney for 17 years. He is regarded as one of the region's most experienced advisors on healthcare enforcement matters. His private practice focuses on assisting clients with complex criminal, civil and administrative matters regarding healthcare reimbursement, Medicaid and Medicare compliance, audits and appeals, internal investigations, and responses to healthcare investigations and enforcement actions.
