RALEIGH, NC - Poyner Spruill LLP announced today the addition of three new attorneys. Healthcare attorney Kim Licata and tax attorney Westray Veasey joined the firm as Of Counsel, and Chris Boothe, a bankruptcy attorney, joined the firm as an Associate.

Licata practices in the Raleigh office as part of the firm’s healthcare practice group, and has advised health care providers and facilities on regulatory, litigation, and compliance issues for over 13 years. Immediately prior to joining Poyner Spruill, she was Of Counsel in Womble Carlyle’s Research Triangle Park office. Licata is involved with the North Carolina and District of Columbia Bars and is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association and the North Carolina Society of Health Care Attorneys.

Veasey returns to Poyner Spruill's corporate section in Raleigh after a time of work in a family business. She returns to her successful tax practice, concentrating on tax matters for individuals and closely held businesses as well as estate and gift tax. Named by Business North Carolina as one of its "Legal Elite” in Tax and Estate Planning in 2005, Veasey is a member of the North Carolina and Wake County Bar Associations.

Based in the firm’s Rocky Mount office, Boothe practices in the creditor's rights arena. He most recently practiced in Charlotte as an associate with Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP where he handled real estate finance and securitization matters.
