• Representation of all parties in commercial loan transactions involving real estate and asset based collateral, construction financing, low income housing tax credit financing, HUD financing, USDA financing, capital call lines of credit to private equity funds, cross-border financing, secured and unsecured financing to knowledge-based, venture and private equity backed companies, and subordinated and mezzanine debt financings, including:
  • Representation of agents and syndicated lenders in large syndicated loan facilities
  • Representation of purchasers and sellers in connection with the sale of participations in large and small loans
  • Representation of purchasers and sellers in connection with various portfolio asset purchases and dispositions
  • Representation of lenders in connection with the restructure of loans currently in default (soft workouts)

Brian is the co-author of Survey of Commercial Lending Laws in the Southeast, 2007, a comprehensive treatise on the laws affecting commercial loan transactions in eight southeastern states.
