Cindy represents clients before state and federal courts. She focuses her litigation practice on matters involving alleged legal and accounting malpractice, and other corporate, commercial, and banking litigation matters involving accounting issues and financial damages claims. She also has extensive experience in representing brokers and investors in securities-related litigation and in representing plaintiffs in various personal injury matters.

Representative Experience

Rizoti et. al. vs. Plemmons (U.S. App. Fourth Circuit, 2003) - Alleged breach of contract; judiciary duty; and unfair and deceptive trade practices statute. Summary judgment for defendant affirmed.

Hogan vs. RBC Centura Bank (Henderson Co. Superior Court, 2004) - Alleged fraud, negligent retention in stock transaction dispute. Directed verdict for defendant Bank.

Carlisle vs. Keith (North Carolina Court of Appeals, 2005)  - Alleged fraud, constructive fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, and civil conspiracy against partnership’s attorney. Rule 12(b)(6) dismissal affirmed by Court of Appeals.
