Greg practices in the areas of business transactions, commercial and appellate litigation, and trusts and estates. His practice focuses on the organization of business entities; negotiating and drafting contracts, leases, real estate transfers, loans and financial instruments, and other business agreements; the merger and acquisition of companies and assets; and the creation, interpretation, and litigation of trusts and estates.
Representative Experience
- Organization of corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies, including drafting of shareholders', partnership, and LLC operating agreements
- Representation of sellers and purchasers in stock and asset mergers and acquisitions
- Representation of tenants in common in partition proceedings and parties in condemnation actions
- Negotiation and drafting of contracts, leases, employment agreements, and other business agreements
- Litigation at both trial and appellate levels of commercial disputes, estate actions, and public land use and territorial matters
Prior Legal Experience
Before joining Poyner Spruill, Greg served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable John C. Martin of the North Carolina Court of Appeals from 1994 to 1995.
