Previous Poyner Spruill attorneys currently in the Legal Elite Hall of Fame include H. Glenn Dunn (Environmental), Susie Gibbons (Employment), and Keith Johnson (Environmental).

Since 2002, Business North Carolina has honored attorneys with the Legal Elite publication, a listing of the state’s top lawyers in business-related categories. Winners are not chosen by BNC editors but by other lawyers.

Active members of the North Carolina State Bar are eligible to vote for peers deemed to be at the top of their fields. Attorneys can’t vote for themselves or for members of the Legal Elite Hall of Fame — previous top vote-getters in a particular specialty. Votes for lawyers from another firm are weighted more heavily than votes for colleagues at the same firm.
