Jep's practice largely consists of representing local governments throughout North Carolina.

Biography

Jep Rose has served as City Attorney for Rocky Mount for over 30 years and as County Attorney for Chatham County for more than 12 years.  In addition, he has served two stints as Interim City Attorney for Fayetteville. He has extensive experience in advising governing bodies, planning boards, boards of adjustment, and management and staff in all aspects of local government law including governing board procedure, annexations, zoning and land use, installment purchase contracts, tort and insurance issues, and eminent domain procedures. He has also served as counsel to the Nash County Board of Adjustment and is a former Chairman of the Nash County Planning Board and the Rocky Mount Human Relations Commission. In addition to his local government practice, he represents and counsels small business entities with regard to transactions and disputes. He is a graduate of Virginia Episcopal School and a former Chairman of its Board of Trustees, Davidson College, and the University of North Carolina School of Law.
