In addition, interested parties may submit petitions to the SHCC to adjust need determinations for these and any other services which are subject to review under the SMFP, when they believe that unique or special attributes of a particular geographic area or institution give rise to resource requirements that differ from those provided by application of the standard planning procedures and policies. The Department requests that petitions be delivered to Healthcare Planning as early in the Public Review and Comment Period as possible. The deadline for submission of a petition is 5:00 p.m. on July 25, 2018. Petitions must be submitted by e-mail, mail or hand delivery.
