Biography
Tara Bright is an Attorney on the Litigation team, concentrating her practice on complex civil litigation matters. Tara represents a variety of clients in business disputes, financial transactions, personal injury matters and real estate litigation. Tara also represents local government entities in constitutional claims and assists in the development and implementation of compliance strategies.
Tara brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the firm, having previously worked for the New York City Law Department, Office of the Corporation Counsel, where she defended the City of New York, the Department of Education, and the New York City Police Department against civil lawsuits, including negligence claims, premises liability actions, and allegations of constitutional violations from uniformed officers. Subsequently, Tara joined the private sector where she represented clients in contractual disputes, construction claims and other personal injury matters. Tara previously served as the first chair in a number of trials and also joined the faculty at Fordham University where she worked as a Mock Trial instructor.
During the early stages of her career, Tara was honored as the “Rookie of the Year” for the City of New York. Tara also received the National Black Lawyers Association “Top 40 under 40” award.
