Biography
A note from our Managing Partner, Dan Cahill: It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that I inform you that Wilson Hayman passed away on November 28, 2020. Wilson was a dedicated member of the Poyner Spruill family for 30 years.
Wilson represents health care providers in forming joint ventures, sales and acquisitions, entering into all types of financial relationships including management, services, employment, recruitment and managed care contracts. He represents health care providers in the formation and operation of provider-owned and controlled managed care organizations, including IPAs, PHOs, MSOs, and HMOs. He has represented medical device manufacturers and behavioral health providers, LMEs, and MCOs in a wide range of regulatory matters. Wilson represents nonprofit church organizations and their affiliates on corporate, employment, and other business issues and litigation.

- Represented self-funded plan sponsor in submission of Multiple Employer Welfare Association PPO filing for approval by NC Department of Insurance

- Represented public and private hospital systems as lead counsel in the acquisition and sale of hospitals, physician practices, and HMOs
