Poyner Spruill Welcomes Education Law Practice Group

RALEIGH, N.C. — Poyner Spruill’s Brandi Hobbs will again be a featured speaker in the UNC School of Law’s Festival of Legal Learning. The two-day event offers attendees the chance to earn up to 12 CLE credits and will take place Friday and Saturday, Feb. 8-9, at The William & Ida Friday Continuing Education Center in Chapel Hill.

Hobbs will be part of the agenda on Friday evening, co-presenting “Strategic Legal Practice — The Client Relationship” with Camille Stell of Lawyers Mutual Consulting and Services. The session will focus on helping attendees understand how to create an annual business development plan focused on the strategic identification, cultivation, and conversion of prospective clients into clients and how best to retain current clients.

Hobbs has been with Poyner Spruill since 2016 and was promoted to the executive position of Director of Client Service & Strategy in 2018.

In that role, Hobbs provides market insight, business intelligence, strategic thinking, planning, and coaching to the firm’s attorneys. She also heads the department responsible for the firm’s marketing, communications, and professional and business development programming and events. She holds a B.S. in Communication Studies from Pepperdine University in addition to a Master of Professional Studies in Law Firm Management from The George Washington University.
