Poyner Spruill Welcomes Education Law Practice Group

RALEIGH, N.C. — Poyner Spruill LLP, a commercial law firm with offices across the state of North Carolina, is pleased to announce the hiring of Stephanie Gumm, who will work as a Litigation associate in the Raleigh office. Her practice will focus on representing businesses, individuals, organizations, and government entities in civil and commercial litigation.

Prior to entering private practice at Poyner Spruill, Gumm served eight years in the United States Army.

“Stephanie will bring a unique perspective on the law to Poyner Spruill,” said Poyner Spruill Managing Partner Dan Cahill. “We continually give thorough consideration to adding attorneys who help us meet the growing and evolving needs of our diverse client base. This is another opportunity to grow the depth of our bench while maintaining a focus on delivering high-level, responsive legal services.”

Gumm completed her undergraduate studies at Campbell University and later earned her Juris Doctor from the Campbell University School of Law. She is licensed to practice law in North Carolina and the United States District Courts for the Eastern District and Middle District of North Carolina.

In addition, Gumm has served as Guardian ad Litem appellate counsel for the North Carolina Guardian ad Litem Pro Bono Attorney Program.
