Poyner Spruill LLP partners Tate Ogburn and Nick Tosco spoke during Mecklenburg County Bar’s 2024 Annual Review.
Ogburn presented a session called, “Spotting Ethical Traps.” He discussed common ethical issues that arise and strategies for identifying and resolving those issues. Ogburn serves as Poyner Spruill’s General Counsel and advises firm attorneys on conflicts and other ethical issues. Ogburn focuses his practice in the areas of construction law, creditor’s rights, and commercial litigation.
In his presentation, Tosco explained zoning rules and the rezoning process in Charlotte. He spoke to attendees about the history of zoning laws, the types of zoning standards, and the steps necessary to rezone property in Charlotte. Tosco concentrates his practice in the areas of local government law, land use, zoning, and complex civil litigation.
