Poyner Spruill Director of Human Resources Nina Long has been recognized as a Key Volunteer of the Year by The Triangle Nonprofit & Volunteer Leadership Center for her support of Haven House Services, a nonprofit organization that assists youth experiencing homelessness, instability, and other challenges.
Long has served on the Haven House Board of Directors since 2010 and is a member of the organization’s Hall of Champions. Long played a key role in the development of Haven House’s strategic plan, the creation of its first resource development department, and organizational restructuring efforts designed to expand the agency’s impact on the youth and families it serves. In addition to her board leadership, she has remained a tireless champion for the organization through volunteer efforts, community outreach, fundraising support, and advocacy.
“Nina’s commitment to serving others extends far beyond her role at our firm,” said Managing Partner Chad Essick. “For many years, she has generously shared her time, talents, and leadership with Haven House Services, helping advance an organization that makes a profound difference in the lives of young people throughout our community. We are proud to see her receive this well-deserved recognition.”
At Poyner Spruill, Long oversees the firm’s human resources department. Her dedication to community service reflects the firm’s commitment to giving back and making a positive impact across North Carolina.
