Poyner Spruill Welcomes Education Law Practice Group

RALEIGH, NC – Poyner Spruill is pleased to announce that Deborah Sperati has been selected as an honoree for the North Carolina Lawyers Weekly 2014 Leaders in the Law award.

North Carolina Lawyers Weekly , in partnership with Elon University School of Law, will present the award to 25 honorees who are being recognized for going above and beyond in their profession and their community. The honorees represent the most influential individuals within our state’s legal community. The awards ceremony is being held on Friday, September 19th at the Raleigh Marriott City Center . Deborah Sperati is a partner in the firm’s Rocky Mount office. She practices in the areas of Civil and Commercial Litigation, Bankruptcy, and Creditors’ Rights. She frequently represents creditors in workouts, bankruptcies, collections, and lender liability matters. Her practice also includes representation of businesses and individual clients in a wide variety of civil litigation matters before State and Federal Courts, including contract disputes, fiduciary duty claims, property disputes and fraud claims.

Sperati received both her B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
