Biography
Ella represents clients in a wide range of disputes, including business litigation, negligence and tort claims, premises liability actions, constitutional issues, and municipal and local government matters. She has extensive experience guiding clients through all stages of litigation in both state and federal courts.
Ella has obtained favorable results through strategic motion practice, including securing dismissals and prevailing at summary judgment in high-stakes cases. Ella also conducts sensitive internal investigations for local government clients involving personnel and organizational issues.
Ella started her legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in Mecklenburg County, where she prosecuted misdemeanor criminal matters, negotiated plea agreements, and worked closely with victims throughout the criminal justice process. She draws on her broad experience to provide practical, strategic counsel that helps clients effectively manage risk and navigate complex legal challenges.
