Poyner Spruill LLP is pleased to welcome partner Ariella Walsh and associates Peter Christopherson, Andrea Schwehr, and Jackson Webb to the firm.
Ariella (Ella) Walsh represents clients in a wide range of disputes, including business litigation, negligence and tort claims, premises liability actions, constitutional issues, and municipal and local government matters. She has extensive experience guiding clients through all stages of litigation in both state and federal courts. Walsh has obtained favorable results through strategic motion practice, including securing dismissals and prevailing at summary judgment in high-stakes cases. She also conducts sensitive internal investigations for local government clients involving personnel and organizational issues.
Peter Christopherson assists borrowers, lenders, and financial institutions with a variety of commercial loan transactions. He works on matters involving secured and unsecured commercial loans, asset-based lending transactions, and acquisition financing. A graduate of Wake Forest University School of Law, Christopherson served on the staff of the Wake Forest Journal of Business and Intellectual Property Law, participated in the Moot Court Walker Competition, and co-founded the Artificial Intelligence in Law Society. Before joining Poyner Spruill full-time, Christopherson worked as a Summer Associate at the firm.
Andrea Schwehr represents clients in business and commercial disputes throughout all phases of litigation including trial. She litigates claims in federal and state courts, including the North Carolina Business Court, and alternative dispute tribunals. In addition to her business litigation practice, Schwehr has experience with a variety of employment issues, including internal investigations and claims arising under the ADA, FMLA, OSHA, and Title VII.
Jackson Webb assists clients in navigating commercial disputes, helping to develop practical solutions to complex legal and factual challenges. While at the University of North Carolina School of Law, Webb served as Publication Editor of the North Carolina Journal of International Law and as a Dean’s Fellow. He was also active in the Veterans Advocacy Legal Organization and the Transactional and Corporate Law Association. Webb worked as a Summer Associate before joining the firm full-time.
