Poyner Spruill Welcomes Education Law Practice Group

Poyner Spruill LLP is pleased to announce that associate Dr. Amy Clay has been elected to serve on the board for HOST (Housing Options for Students Today).

HOST addresses housing needs for college students by matching students with volunteer hosts who provide safe and private spaces in their homes. Students work with case manager advocates to prepare for long-term stable housing.

Clay, who has a doctorate in school psychology from North Carolina State University, is passionate about helping students access quality education. She focuses her practice on education law, regularly conducting training in a variety of clinical settings and handling matters arising under the Individuals with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. As a qualified Title IX investigator and decision-maker, Clay conducts impartial, objective, and thorough investigations into allegations of Title IX sexual harassment and serves as an independent decision-maker in these matters for public and private schools, colleges, or universities.
