Transportation carrier contracts

• We advise on transportation carrier contracts between companies and their customers. Our experience in this area is primarily related to negotiations of petroleum hauling carrier contracts for a major East Coast petroleum carrier.

Warehouse contracts and related matters

• We are able to consult on contract services at the warehouse level related to unloading and loading, freight running, spotting, drop yard services, and other related matters.

Negotiations with the North Carolina Department of Transportation

• In the event that cargo terminals or shipping facilities are affected by the relocation of a major highway or access road, Poyner Spruill has experience representing a regional trucking firm in negotiations with the North Carolina Department of Transportation to provide adequate access to a terminal that would be affected by the relocation of a major highway and its conversion to a controlled access facility.
