Businesses that do not appreciate their data collection laws pay a dear price. Data collection practices must conform to at least one of four broad areas, depending on the business, including federal, state and foreign law, and the administrative state (a large alphabet soup of agencies). In an article published by Security Magazine, partner and co-chair of the firm’s privacy and cybersecurity practice Saad Gul outlines reasons a business should carefully reevaluate its data processing practices.
