Poyner Spruill Welcomes Education Law Practice Group

Poyner Spruill LLP is pleased to announce partner Kelsey Mayo has been engaged as the outside Director of Regulatory Policy by the American Retirement Association (ARA) as part of key reassignments among the ARA’s senior management team.

Kelsey, who leads our Employee Benefits group, focuses her practice in the areas of Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation. She routinely represents clients before the IRS, Department of Labor, and Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation, and has extensive experience in virtually all aspects of employee benefit plans and executive compensation arrangements.

Kelsey has a passion for the benefits industry, including advocating for policies that ensure companies can offer benefits to their employees. She has been a significant contributor to the ARA’s Government Affairs Committee in recent years and an active member of its IRS Subcommittee. In Kelsey’s words, “I always look forward to bringing my passion, my background in accounting, and my study for the actuarial exams to bear for the benefit of clients, and I am excited to serve the ARA in this capacity.”
