Poyner Spruill Welcomes Education Law Practice Group

Poyner Spruill LLP is pleased to announce that Dan Cahill has been recognized in Business North Carolina’s Power List for the third consecutive year. This annual report—based on nominations, source interviews, and other research—honors influential North Carolina leaders in various private sectors.

Cahill was elected as Managing Partner of Poyner Spruill in 2017. During his leadership, he prioritized the health and safety of the firm’s employees and clients throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. By focusing on Poyner Spruill’s strategic priorities, Cahill has advanced the firm’s diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives; improved the firm’s efficiency with new technology; and enhanced the firm’s client service.

Cahill serves as the chair of the firm’s Management Committee and as the firm’s assistant general counsel and loss prevention partner. He is a lifelong Raleigh resident with nearly three decades of experience representing corporations in all types of commercial disputes in state and federal court and through alternative dispute resolution. Cahill’s practice focuses on complex commercial disputes and representing banks and financial institutions in all types of litigation.
