Biography
Madelyn focuses her practice on high-stakes complex litigation. She began her career representing municipalities, schools, and other government entities, and has experience handling employment, education, and special education matters, as well as constitutional and civil rights litigation. She is experienced in litigating at every stage of the process.
Prior to law school, Madelyn worked as an elementary school teacher and holds an M.Ed. in Literacy, a background that directly informs her effectiveness as an advocate. Her experience in education gives her firsthand insight into the institutional realities her clients face, and her training in literacy sharpened her ability to distill complex legal and factual issues into clear, persuasive narratives.
Madelyn earned her J.D. from Campbell University Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law, where she served as Membership Editor of the Campbell Law Review and externed at the North Carolina Supreme Court. Those experiences deepened her appreciation for rigorous legal analysis and precise written advocacy skills she brings to every matter she handles.
