Poyner Spruill Welcomes Education Law Practice Group

Poyner Spruill LLP is pleased to welcome four associates to the firm. Abby Jenkins, Kayla Zollinger, and Kevin Quintana previously worked as Summer Associates before joining the firm full-time, and Ann Fields is a welcome new addition.

Learn more about each of the firm’s new associates below.

Ann Fields (Southern Pines) works with clients on a wide range of estate planning matters, including drafting wills and trusts, advising on estate tax strategies, and guiding executors and trustees through the estate and trust administration process. Ann obtained her J.D. from the Campbell University Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law, where she was a member of the Campbell Law Appellate Advocacy Team and a recipient of the Order of Old Kivett award. Prior to attending law school, Ann worked as a registered financial planning associate. She draws on that experience to guide clients through complex estate and financial matters with precision and insight. Outside of work, Ann enjoys playing guitar and performing in local open mic events.

Abby Jenkins (Raleigh) represents companies, governmental agencies, and individuals in a range of civil and commercial disputes.  Abby received her MAT from Duke University and began her career as a high school history teacher in North Carolina. While teaching, Abby also pursued her lifelong love of dance as a professional cheerleader for the Carolina Panthers. After an accomplished six years in public education, Abby received her J.D. from Campbell Law School where she graduated in the top 2 percent of her class and served as the Executive Editor of Campbell Law Review. In her spare time, Abby enjoys visiting the North Carolina mountains, practicing yoga, and spending time with her family and her dog, Charlie.

Kevin Quintana (Charlotte) assists clients on government-related disputes, land use litigation, eminent domain and condemnation, and contract drafting and negotiation. While obtaining his J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law, Kevin served as a student attorney for the Intellectual Property Clinic, the SBA Representative for the Hispanic Law Student Association, and Staff Member of the North Carolina Law Review. Before attending law school, Kevin worked as a paralegal for Legal Aid of North Carolina. In his spare time, Kevin enjoys cooking and learning how to make dishes from different countries and cultures.

Kayla Zollinger (Charlotte) works with clients on a wide range of litigation matters, including business disputes, tort and contractual liability, property disputes, and governmental litigation matters. Kayla is a magna cum laude graduate of the Campbell University Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law, where she served as the Editor-in-Chief of Campbell Law Review and as a civil procedure teaching assistant. As a two-time graduate of Baylor University, Kayla is a loyal Baylor Bears football fan.
