Poyner Spruill Welcomes Education Law Practice Group

Personal Injury & Wrongful Death

We represent plaintiffs and defendants in a wide range of cases, including catastrophic motor vehicle accidents, complex premises liability claims, product liability, worker’s compensation claims, and intentional torts such as malicious prosecution and assault and battery.

We have successfully served as both lead counsel and in association with other firms, who retain us in particularly complex, novel, or large cases. We can see both sides and have experience to inform our perspective, which enables us to best serve our client in any case.

We regularly appear on behalf of clients in all North Carolina state and federal trial and appellate courts. We have tried cases in all three districts of the federal trial court in North Carolina and in more than half of the 100 counties in the North Carolina state court system. We also regularly appear before the North Carolina Court of Appeals, the North Carolina Supreme Court, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.

When traditional litigation is avoidable, we also represent our clients in all forms of alternative dispute resolution, including binding and non-binding arbitration, voluntary and court-ordered mediation, and unmediated settlement conferences.
