Knicole brings more than 25 years of experience representing healthcare providers in complex regulatory, reimbursement, and litigation matters.

Biography

A seasoned litigator and advocate, Knicole has argued thousands of healthcare-related administrative cases across more than 40 states and has appeared before numerous state medical and professional licensing boards. She has successfully secured federal injunctions and other relief for providers facing allegations of healthcare fraud, improper billing practices, reimbursement suspensions, and contract terminations, helping clients continue operations while disputes are resolved.

Knicole focuses her practice on helping healthcare organizations navigate Medicare and Medicaid audits, investigations, payment disputes, and compliance challenges. Clients turn to Knicole for guidance on issues involving alleged overpayments, reimbursement suspensions, False Claims Act allegations, Civil Investigative Demands, Anti-Kickback Statute concerns, contract terminations, and professional licensure matters.

Drawing on decades of experience in the healthcare industry, Knicole has a deep understanding of the Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement systems, the regulatory framework governing healthcare providers, and the operational challenges facing healthcare organizations. She regularly advises physicians, hospitals, behavioral health providers, home health and hospice agencies, dentists, chiropractors, durable medical equipment suppliers, and other providers on matters that can significantly impact their businesses and ability to serve patients.

In addition to her legal practice, Knicole is a frequent speaker on healthcare law, regulatory compliance, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement issues, and developments affecting healthcare providers.
