Brenna Davenport

Brenna is an independent contractor attorney who supports the Poyner Spruill team with a broad range of employee benefits matters, with an emphasis on health and welfare considerations.

Biography

Brenna previously served as in‑house counsel, where she advised business leaders on day‑to‑day legal matters as well as strategic initiatives. In that role, she gained a deep understanding of aligning legal advice with business objectives, handling issues ranging from contract negotiation and corporate governance to regulatory compliance and mergers and acquisitions.

That in‑house perspective informs her employee benefits work. Brenna has experience advising on health and welfare benefit plan design, compliance, and correction, as well as supporting negotiations with service providers and governmental agencies.
